As part of the Erasmus+ collaboration project B-WISE, the ‘Working Conference Impact Entrepreneurship and Education’ will be organized on Friday, October 11, 2024 in collaboration with City Deal Impact Entrepreneurship. This conference brings together educational developers, researchers and impact entrepreneurs to jointly focus on strengthening and developing social and impact-driven entrepreneurship within education.

B-WISE

Work Integration Social Enterprises (WISEs) focus on the social and professional integration of people at a distance from the labor market. De Omslag participates in the 4-year European “B-WISE project”: https://www.deomslag.nl/nl/projecten/b-wise-europa-versterkt-leren, aimed at strengthening these social firms. The aim is to promote the skills needs of these workers, as well as those of their supervisors and managers. This is achieved by building alliances, developing methodologies and sharing good practices. This project forms an essential basis for the City Deal Impact Entrepreneurship working conference, which takes a step in the progress and exchange of educational initiatives that focus on sustainable and social entrepreneurship.

Working conference

The City Deal Impact Entrepreneurship brings stakeholders together on October 11 around the theme of education about entrepreneurship with a positive impact on society and the environment. This working conference focuses on strengthening and connecting educational initiatives around social and impact-driven entrepreneurship as well as bringing together and further developing research conducted on the skills needs of social firms.

After these inspiring examples and practical exploration, the participants will split into groups to discuss themes. All groups then return for a final plenary discussion about their findings. This event takes a first step to connect those involved, share knowledge, and work together towards more sustainable and social entrepreneurship within education.
