"It is our aspiration that all people of Amsterdam with disabilities have an opportunity to become participants in our city"
In a world that is constantly changing – politically, economically and technologically – ENSIE is an important voice for people who cannot (yet) fully participate in the labour market. Together we ensure that WISEs remain visible and are given a solid place in European policy.
2024 was a year full of great milestones for ENSIE and the network. We worked intensively with European institutions, including the European Commission.
One of the highlights was the launch of the first sectoral skills strategy within the B-WISE project. This approach helps to close the digitalisation gap, both for employees with support needs and their coaches and managers. It is a practical and usable framework to strengthen knowledge and skills across the WISE sector.
In addition, the ‘European WISE Alliance’ was established: a European network in which we share knowledge and build long-term strategies together.
Another great moment was the ‘European Working Days’ event on WISE in Brussels, where more than 150 stakeholders came together – from policymakers to representatives of the sector and civil society. This event provided valuable encounters and offered space to share the results of, among others, the B-WISE and BuyWISEly projects, in which we as De Omslag actively participated.
To remain relevant, WISEs need to be firmly embedded in Europe’s plans for a fair, green and digital future. For De Omslag, participating in ENSIE is of great value – for knowledge sharing, participation in relevant projects and to work together towards a strong social economy.
