"It is our aspiration that all people of Amsterdam with disabilities have an opportunity to become participants in our city"
Europe is committed to the future of the social economy by investing in (digital) skills. Competencies for the future: is the social economy ready?
It is possible
In Europe, there is an increasing realization of the importance of investing in talent development. This can be achieved through practical learning or customized education in practice. Lifelong learning takes many forms and methods. Think, for example, of digital solutions to enable people who currently lack certain skills to work. There is still a world to be won!
How?
B-WISE is a European project for research into the required competences of employees, their support staff (such as job coaches and supervisors) and the management of WISEs. The goal is to develop training aligning with these needs. But that’s not all; the project also raises awareness of the importance of digital tools to support people who are distanced from the labor market.
What do we see as the main focal points for investing in talents within the Dutch social economy?
Competencies for the future
Digitalization offers great opportunities for companies and their employees. Are they actually equipped and engaged to take advantage of these opportunities? The B-WISE project aims to develop a European strategy to ensure this.
